Our teaching calendar coincides mostly with the NSW public school term dates.
There are 40 lessons in the year (or 20 fortnightly lessons).
Public holidays during teaching period:
Friday 10th April (Good Friday)
Monday 27th April (Anzac Day)
Monday 8th June (Queen’s Birthday)
When you sign up for piano lessons with us and become a member of the Prima Piano studio, your agreed lesson day and time is reserved and guaranteed for you, every week.
Monthly payments are due on the 27th of each month (First on the 27th January – Last on the 27th November)
A once yearly enrolment fee of $60 per household will be charged at the start of each year and covers the costs associated with administration of automated payments, the printing of teaching materials for students, recitals and other insurance and maintenance costs.
Additional payments may be required for the purpose of purchasing student repertoire/method books or for any costs associated with the entry in exams or eisteddfods.
One makeup credit is allowed during each term for any absence when notified more than 12 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. If less than 12 hours notice is given no makeup credit will be offered. Makeup credits may be used during the subsequent school holiday session (pending individual teacher availability in the schedule). The make-up credit cannot be carried over into the following term.
If you plan on missing more than one lesson per term for family holidays, school events or any other reason you must continue to pay in order to reserve your place in the studio.
For extended absences of 5 weeks or more, you can suspend your enrollment at the end of the current month and re-enrol when you return but we cannot guarantee the same day, time or teacher.
If your lesson occurs on a public holiday and you and your teacher do not wish to have a lesson we will allow an additional make-up credit to be used at a time mutually convenient for you and your teacher.
If your teacher is sick or has a conflict with a scheduled lesson, you will be offered appropriate options to make up for the missed lesson.
Our teachers may occasionally take time off for professional development opportunities interstate or overseas. Under these circumstances, we may be able to arrange for a substitute teacher to cover your regular teacher during their absence. While it would be our recommendation to always maintain continuity of lessons, if preferred you can suspend lessons until your teacher returns and a full refund will be given for that period.
