All lessons follow the studio calendar which means whether there are 5 or 2 lessons in that month, the tuition fee is exactly the same.
Mid-year enrolments will be charged at the casual rate for the remaining lessons of the current month and the regular monthly fee will apply to all months following.

Studio Policies

When you sign up for piano lessons with us and become a member of the Prima Piano studio, your agreed lesson day and time is reserved and guaranteed for you, every week.

Monthly payments are due on the 25th of each month (first on the 25th January – last on the 25th November)

A once yearly enrolment fee of $60 per household will be charged at the start of each year and covers the costs associated with administration of automated payments, the printing of teaching materials for students, digital sheet music licences, recitals and other insurance and maintenance costs.

Additional payments may be required for the purpose of purchasing student repertoire/method books or for any costs associated with the entry in exams or eisteddfods.

Student Cancellations

One makeup credit is allowed during each term for any absence when notified more than 12 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. If less than 12 hours notice is given no makeup credit will be offered. Makeup lessons are for lessons taken ONLINE ONLY. We cannot offer in-person makeup lessons as scheduling these can be very difficult.

Makeup credits may be used at any time during the current term or subsequent school holiday session (pending individual teacher availability in the schedule). The makeup credit cannot be carried over into the following term.

If you plan on missing more than one lesson per term for family holidays, school events or any other reason you must continue to pay in order to reserve your place in the studio.

For extended absences of 5 weeks or more, you can suspend your enrollment at the end of the current month and re-enrol when you return but we cannot guarantee the same day, time or teacher.

Public Holidays

If your lesson occurs on a public holiday and you and your teacher do not wish to have a lesson we will allow an additional makeup credit to be used at a time mutually convenient for you and your teacher.

Teacher Absence

If your teacher is sick or has a conflict with a scheduled lesson, you will be offered appropriate options to make up for the missed lesson.

Our teachers may occasionally take time off for professional development opportunities interstate or overseas. Under these circumstances, we may be able to arrange for a substitute teacher to cover your regular teacher during their absence. While it would be our recommendation to always maintain continuity of lessons, if preferred you can suspend lessons until your teacher returns and a full refund will be given for that period.
